CAI and Tune On The Way

CAI and Tune On The Way
Well I saw today that my CAI and Bama tune is headed my way via UPS. I was wondering if there is anything I need to watch out for or be careful of once I get it all installed. I got 3 tunes for each octane level offered here (87, 89, 93). The octane level required for each tune seems simple enough. Is there anything else???????

Not really anything you need to watch out for once you get it installed and the tune of your choice uploaded.
The only thing I can think of is hold onto your *** because even the 87 octane street tune (I assume you chose 87 octane for your street) will give you noticeable power increases

If your going to use the 91 or 93, I suggest burning through 2 tanks of gas to make sure you get all the 87 out. Other then that...install was a breeze and loading the tune was easy (just follow directions).
Fortunatly, you can do some changes on your own. I forgot to let them know that mine had the optional 3.55s in 2008 so I was able to make the modification with the tuner.
You wont have any issues. The CAI and Tune was the first performance mod and first mod I have ever done to an engine with any car I've had.
Enjoy, let us know what you think after you got it installed and of course.....post pics. :-)

No issues at all man, just plug and play! I wont scare you with the one I had, on a friday night after Bama closed no less... battery producing too much voltage? cant even start my car now? HOLY F*&k, how am I going to get to work?? haha. But alas! my friends at MFs no less had the same problem, searched forums, disconnected battery, hooked everything up again and viola! I was tearing the street up Saturday morning. One guy had an extreme case where he fried his cars board and had to get it replaced.. but I think his and my case are a rare oddity, and just took a sec to troubleshoot. The guys at Bama were still very helpful, just that none of the tuners were still at work, only salesmen when I called. I have had nothing but success on all 3 tunes, right now though, Im on 89 performance. Mind you, this happened probably February timeframe. Enjoy that tuner man!

Watch out for cops.
Work up from the 87 to the 89 to the 93 so you can get a feel for each tunes' charcteristics. And filling with 89 with 2-3 gallons of 87 in the tank shouldn't be a problem. But I'd fill-up with 93 before trying the 89 tune, then you know that you can go right to the 93 tune after that first tank of 93 on the 89 tune.

Something I never knew but would like to.
Does anyone know if the Bama performance and race tunes are also CARB compliant? If not I know that these are not suitable tunes for emissions testing.
For the street tunes, I assume they are written as best as possible for emissions given the mods on the car.
Are my guesses correct?
