Dilema please help
I have both a 09 gt vert and recently purchased 11 5.0, i was driving past a local dealership and found a 07 shelby gt 500. I am thinking about trading in the vert for the Shelby, but the vert has at least 10k in mods which i know i will not recoup but i can't restore to original. should i go for it or just be happy with what i got? i'm really torn here and the wife gave me the green light which makes the decision a little harder.
Help me out, what do you guys think?
thanks in advance for all your replys.

not that its faster so much because i have about 460+ to the wheels but the collectability factor is off the scale, mine is 45th anniversary but not a Shelby. But i don't garage my cars and play whenever weather permits so i dunno.

I'd say if you're looking at collecting (and you're serious about it) and thinking about having this gt500 for a very lengthy time, go with the GT500. But if you're seeing a future expense in the near future (kids, kids college, home remodeling, etc) and will just have to turn right around and sell one of your toys, I'd stick with the '09.
Then again, I have no idea what tax bracket you're in (and I won't ask) so everything I just said may be invalid haha.
P.S: Hang on to your wife; she's sounds like a keeper! haha

First of all, you're a lucky man to be able to have such a problem, and a wife that understands your passion for cars. I assume you've run out of upgrade options on the GT Vert and are looking for something new to tinker with. I would love to be in your situation either way. I tend to get attached to a car if I've spent time and effort on upgrades, so I assume that's holding you back somewhat. Are you going to sell or trade the vert? Make sure you can get what the car is worth and then go buy the GT500. Show some pics of the car when you get it home.
