Quarter Window Louver 3M tape issues
#11
I'm at work so I can't get the brand but most of the auto parts stores not only have the solvent but also the 3M tape.
I've only had to remove 1 bracket for my rear window louvers and I used fishing line to saw thru the tape, then a razor blade on the glass to remove the bulk and then the solvent to get the rest of the adhesive off. It was a real PITA so I don't envy you having to remove both louvers. Put some good tunes on, get a tall glass of something cold and have at it.

Thank you!

I had to redo mine too. Wasn't a big of a PITA as I thought, partially because I did it soon so I guess the tape didn't adhere much. I used the 3M double sided tape from Home Depot, which is what most people suggested in the first place anyway. They're on there good now

adheasion promotor - 3m tape primer 94.. get the paint-pen applicator, but be careful with that sh*t, it'll eat paint.. and it runs fast... like water...
but for dbl-sided tape.. the ONLY way to go.. i've had 0 problems out of all my stuff..

Appreciate all the suggestions and advice! I took a better look during my lunch break and there is one section of the louver that is really bad. It's in the corner and front side of louver. I am going to see if I can do a patch job, w/out taking the whole louver off. Worth a shot!

The double sided 3M tapes sticks onto the backside of the louver, then the other side of the tape sticks onto the car quarter panel. The 3M tape does not touch the glass.
