Default Interesting night at the track...

Finally got it out to the drag strip tonight, Bandimere Speedway to be exact. If you guys don't know Bandimere is approximately 5800 ft. So times are generally a second slower than sea level. Anyways I got 4 runs in and none of them were great. I either spun horribly, missed a shift or forgot about the ****in traction control...

Remembered to turn TC off. Spun through third on this one
60: 2.97
1/8: 9.956
mph: 81.64
1/4: 14.767
mph: 104.16

TC off again. Missed second some how on this one LOL
60: 2.391
1/8: 9.859
mph: 78.5
1/4: 14.775
mph: 101.97

TC on... Thought I missed 4th when it started cutting power immediately when I shifted into 4th, wasn't sure what was going on
60: 2.441
1/8: 9.308
mph: 81.95
1/4: 14.372
mph: 98.69

TC on... Knew that I had nailed 4th on this one and it started cutting power again, then I saw the traction light come on and I had realized I had forgot to turn the TC off on this and the previous run.
60: 2.344
1/8: 9.317
mph: 80.00
1/4: 14.384
mph: 98.24

All in all I had a fun trip out for the first time running this car. It was an unexpected trip and I had a bunch of stuff in the trunk and the last two runs my dad was sitting shotgun with me. This is the first vehicle I have owned with TC. I'll remember next time to turn it off.

It was my first time to the track in a stick car and a car without drag radials.

Then I'd have to say those times aren't bad.

I think I need to learn how to drive the crap out of this car first. I can bang through the gears just fine, launching and feathering that clutch are the biggies. Once I can learn to launch this, decently, on street tires I'll get another set of rims and some DR's. Horrible night, but fun for sure. Control arms are going on soon. I think that will help immensely.

So I wouldnt forget I put a post it note on my console.

TC Off
O/D Off
Put in Drive

I do a second gear burnout and wanted to remind myself to put it back into drive after the burnout. LOL Cheesy but it works for me.

As long as you had fun, that truly is what matters. ETs will always improve with more seat time.
