Problems with the 2012 GT?

What problems are people having with the 2012 Gt's? I'm thinking about getting one and don't want the same problems I had with my 07 GT. Like the hood shake on the interstate, water leaking in through the doors and inner fenders, bad alternator, etc.

Also what be a better buy, getting a 05-09 Gt500 or a 2012 GT? Cause both are about 30k plus.

So far the bigest issue is notchy griding tranny, its thought that fluid is not suited for cold mornings and cold climates, changing fuild helps, but if u let it go u can damage tranny.

I've seen reports of tranny and clutch issues but I beleive the clutch was related to the tranny problem.

GT500, IMO. There's a poll going around on the same choices and the GT500 was winning the last tme I looked.

i dont know of ANY '12's having the tranny issues. maybe im wrong, i dont know.

I havent had a single problem with my '12. Not one. Its perfect in every way so far. No rattles, shakes, creaks, grinds, etc. Very smooth, very reliable, and VERY fast :D

Do the new Mustang's have fold down rear seats? Also does the usb connection work for an ipod connection? Also can you change out the factory stereo or is the stock stereo integrated with the A/C controls? Thanks

I would go with the GT500 man. Personally I like the style of the 05-09 better then the newer ones, and there is a coolness about having the GT500 that the new 12s can't touch.

If you want a 12 though, I agree with the other guys that the only issue so far is the transmission.

I always notice that tranny noise you're referring to cause its pretty cold here. But after the vehicle warms up, it goes away. I change all the fluids on the prescribed times, but i have no control over the weather since i have no garage and my Stang sits out all the time. I just learned to live with all the little miscillaneous issues such as , rattle noises, tranny noice, light gear whine etc. I rather deal with those noised than a water issue.

PS; I would go with the new Mustang because its new and has warranty. If you find the 400 plus BHP not sufficient, then you can add on a simple bolt ons and a few suspension upgrades and you would have a crazy ride. And the best part is that you would save a s h i t load of money. I went to the dealership the other day, and the dirt bag salesmen was trying to sell me a new GT500 for $ 63000 . Can you believe that. Hommie must have forgot that we are still in a RECESSION !!!!

In the order asked:

Yes.
Yes.
No/yes.

My '12 has had these issues:

Front suspension groan over speed bumps (minor)

Whiney trans in all gears on the input side (annoying and cool at the same time, not a big enough deal to take it into the dealer)

Face hurts when grinning for 30m straight after straight-up embarrassing a C5 Z06 (wait, that's not a problem!)
