Default Saleen SC Dyno numbers are in!

Well, I'm not quite where I want to be yet...these cams are REALLy causing me a headache!

I put down 402whp and 396 ft lbs tq. The car was running REALLY rich...A/F was around 10.5 up to 4000rpms and then went up to 11.2. The boost stayed around 2.5-3.5 psi until 5000rpms where it steadily rose to 6.5psi from 5000-5700rpms.

Keep in mind, I do have the 3.4 pulley on with the KB BAP, so these numbers are very low...more like 4" pulley numbers.

Seriously considering the Detroit Rocker FI cams now...

Lets get a poll going:

Should I swap the cams and run the pulleys I got and make more boost (about $1100...I might recover $500 or so for my Hot Rods)

Or should I just up the pulleys to the 11-14 psi pulley and hope to get around 7-9psi with teh Hot Rod cams that I have now??

i would say swap the cams to something that is designed to run with a SC. im having brenspeed do a saleen install in mine when i get back from Gitmo, but i still have my stock cams. they told me with the stock cams on my 2010 i will be putting down around 440-450 whp (stage 3 kit, headers, throttle body, axleback). i can imagine that with cams DESIGNED for a SC the gains would be astronomical compared to just changing the pulley. pulley is a LOT cheaper than getting cams though so in the end it comes out to what you want to spend. either way though you will still have a BEAST of a car. just my $0.02

Put stock cams back in. I'm getting 430/412 at rear wheels with 3.67 pulley and no other mods.

If these DR N/A cams are making that kind of power and some Whipple members are making over 500 rwhp with Hot Rods, I think there's something else wrong.

You need to find someone that knows how to tune the car. You are around 75 rwhp short of where my tuner puts people on the 3.4 Saleen.

My suggestions:

FRPP Throttle body
AFCO HE
Bigger resevoir for the HE
Custom tuning by someone who knows what the F they are doing.

If you have the Saleen, 3.4 pulley, GT500 pumps or a BAP, you should be making way more power.

Send a PM to Sactown. He has a nice set up.

also..the 4.10s may not be letting enough boost to get there 3.73s may be better to get a higher boost....but be careful on how much boost u run on a 3v
