Just did a little research and wanted some input...

I'm running a 108" belt right now on my S/C...apparently the 3.4 pulley calls for a 107.3" belt...

When I run my A/C, it squeaks at low speed...and once in a while, without the air on, it will squeak anyways but at speed, its gone.

Does anyone here think that A) the belt difference of .7" can cause the squeak? and B) can the belt difference cause the loss of a couple lbs of boost from the Saleen S/C? (remember, I only made 3.5psi with a 3.4 [supposed to be 9psi] pulley)?

The belt could conceivably be enough longer that the tensioner pulley doesn't sit tight enough and provide enough tension on the belt - that would let the belt slip.

Check to see if your belt is glazed or looks goofed up - and check how tight it feels.

It's pretty tight, but it was very hard to get it on...and the Saleen guy said that it is supposed to be damn near impossible to get it on if its to be tight enough to spin at full boost

You can grind off the stop tab on the tensioner. Makes getting shorter belts on much easier.

belt slip can lose boost bc you are not spinning the SC as much as it should.
do you have belt slip? idk.
you can use the same size belt for different size pullies, i have a belt setup for a 3.8 belt, but i am using a 3.5 and it works just fine.
the squeak can also be one of your pullies or bearings in the pullies.
i would check the alt pulley first and then the idler pulleys.
it is not uncommon for our stock pullies to squeak with the increased load of a SC.
i know mine did and i switched to an 8 rib belt and pulleys, and it stopped the squeak.

you should look for wear on the belt if you suspect belt slip.
the belt would most likely slip at higher rpms, so it would make power until it starts slipping.
unless it slips right off the bat.

I would guess your squeeling is an alignment issue between the either the PS pump pulley or the AC pulley. It's easy to check.

Sometimes the extra tension on the pulleys causes them to squeel. Isolate the noise, find the issue and solve.

Thought about the MOsaleen kit?

I'll check em out tomorrow...maybe swap belts just to see what happens.
