I talked with Hayward Ford in California and they wanted $5,000 over
sticker, I said don't do me any favors. They were nice enough to offer
me only $2,000 over.

Good thing I shopped around. San Leandro CA sold me a mustang GT
that someone canceled his or her order on only 1 week after I specked
mine out (but didn’t place yet).

I paid the sticker. Don't pay more than sticker!

I'm in NJ also. I was calling dealers in Orlando, Florida and they were selling GT verts at 3G over sticker. Also here in NJ, Ford of Englewood is selling V-6's at 3G over sticker. Out on Long Island a dealership was selling V-6's for $1,500 over sticker. You really have to look around. There's a bit more supply up here now. I lucked out through a friend and got my GT vert at sticker from a dealership in Essex County. Try Dayton Ford, off of Exit 8 or 9 on the Turnpike. They usually have a lot of inventory. Use the internet to search dealer inventory. www.fordvehicles.com. Good luck. Although I haven't run into any dealers selling below sticker, you should definitely not pay above sticker, especially this late in the season.
