Default flowmaster exhaust noice reduced with minor mod

So I love my flowmasters and cam sound but the exhaust note was getting a bit loud in the cabin of the car. I had reduced the trumpeting with high flows but the cabin noise was still loud. I was thinking about ordering a new axle back but I thought I would give this a try. About 2 years ago I installed some sound deadening material and I had a little left over. I figured the sound was traveling from inside the trunk and through the back seats and causing the sound in the cabin to be a bit too high for my liking. So I grabbed some card board from a order that I recieved and cut it out. So that it would slide behind the back seats inside the trunk. When I got them cut out I used the rest of my sound deadening materail and stuck behind the seats. What a difference it has made. Plus I can remove the card board cut outs if i need too to carry something large in the trunk. So If any of you think your exhaust noise in the cabin of the car is too loud here is a simple solution.

I would imagine it really does help. There is a huge difference in my car when I have the rear seatbacks down vs in the up position. Good job fixing without tossing more cash at it.

Nice I might have to try this. Where did you get your material?

If this wasnt going to do the job I was leaning towards Corsa's which are expensive.

I did the same thing when i first did the install a few years ago. But the piece behind the seats helped alot. And I placed some material on the top where the holes were. There is a beam that has 4 holes on the one side and 4 on the bottom side. Anyway it worked great. BTW my fiance is happier
