The dealer said I have a bad control arm.

that sucks they had mine back up and running in three days. I got a new alternator put in at the same time as the control arm. so it really does suck you have to wait for the part

my control arms are going bad on my 05..but it has 93,000 miles lol
the bushing in the control arm is splitting and its causing a squeek. the worst part is that no one sells just the bushing so you have to buy the whole control arm.

Hi Will3212,
I am sorry your control arm failed already. With new vehicles, we want them to be perfect, and I apologize yours has not been. Sometimes, it is a bit of a wait for parts to come in, especially for new vehicles having an uncommon issue. Once the repair is complete, you will be able to enjoy your Mustang confidently. Also, to address the issue of your gas, how full was the tank when you brought it in? If you would like to send me a private message with your contact information, VIN, mileage, and servicing dealer, I can ensure your situation is appropriately documented. Thank you for your patience.

thanks, when it went in it said "53 miles till empty" when i left it said "9 till empty". Although it's a bit frustrating I understand the guy had to test drive it for a long time to find out what exactly the noise was. I just wish the part came in sooner so I don't have to deal with the noise for another 2 weeks when i just payed 37 grand for a brand new car.
I feel almost like I'm following you around the board today! I did respond to your other post, and wanted to make sure you saw it. Again, I apologize for such a long delay in ordering the part. I greatly appreciate your patience. Please let me know if you need additional assistance.

I looked on Ford Parts and I did find a control arm bushing available. There may be another reason you need to replace the entire control arm, such as it being damaged or deformed, but that may solve your squeak.
