Default Only water in PCV system...

I went to empty my air/oil separator to make sure it is working properly (I've had it on for about 350 miles). There was about 1/2 a teaspoon of liquid in there which turned out to be water. I ran my finger on the inside of the can and there's nothing oily in there, absolutely no film at all. I went down the line and looked at my check valve I installed with the blower and found that the inner valve part was beginning to rust a bit. The hoses coming from the crank case on the driver side also have only a very small bit of oil at the connection but up inside they're not slick at all... I'm going to change my oil probably tomorrow or Saturday but any idea what would cause this?

I should note that my hoses are about twice as long as the line is because the only place I could find that the UPR can would fit comfortably. All the lines are reinforced though so I'm sure it's not collapsing on vacuum either.
