Default 1968 and 429 cobra jet problem!!!

My father is in the middle of building his 1968 bullitt clone, and he just finished the motor and went to go put it in the car and it doesnt fit. He tried 2 sets of motor mounts and neither seem to work. The engine does fit in the car but with 1 set of mounts it sat to high and the other set it sat to low. I have read about people putting 429's in 67-68's but we need the right motor mounts in order to do so. Its a tight as fit but it 100% does fit. Any suggestions? Have custom mounts made?
