Well spent the day in Bossier City AutoXing the Boss 302. It was a lot of fun. I have some video of the laps. i spun the car once with too much speed into the last corner. Took a few months off the life of the factory tires over the day. i had so much fun. The first heat I ran the shocks at 5 all around and forgot to turn off traction control or put it into sport mode. the brakes didn't want to stop and it dawned on me afterwards that traction control was probably going nuts trying to keep up with all the sliding and slipping i was doing and the brakes were fading a bit from that. i also launched the car in second all day to prevent shifting during the run.

For the second heat i put it in sport mode once and turned off TC and stability control for the last lap, Zero brake fade with those laps and I was on the brakes hard being a noob. first autox in 11 years and the first time to drive the boss hard. Ended up with second in novice and considering my first heat i had only one clean run (went the wrong way on lap one and spun on lap 2) i was happy. the timing system went down on the second heat so we just did fun runs and they felt much faster. i also turned the fronts from 5 to 3 and the car turned much better, the fronts pushed badly on 5.

Fun stuff! Just got done with my second autocross today, results aren't out yet, but I think I placed mid/upper pack in the STU class. Wondering, how did they class the Boss? In F-stock with the rest of the mustangs or did they up it?

Shane do the regular street Boss come with the red key, or is that just the Laguna models?

damn red rivers location looks HUGE! much bigger than cenlas or deltas. im bummed i couldnt make it up the car sounds awesome tho!

they put me in B stock and i was the only car running in that class. Fstock was packed. with me behind the wheel, the boss was well behind those f-stock front runners. all boss cars have the red key, the tune isnt out yet though so it does nothing for right now.

Wow, I ways figured autocross would be disorienting, but the video definitely showed it. Still entertaining to watch though.

Also, how much drool was produced from other racers after they watched you pull in?
