the OP didn't ask a question, and he hasn't posted anymore since taking it to the dealer. This is as about as on topic (the trans) as we can be.

Hi everyone,

At Ford, we believe it is important to build vehicles where we sell them. Check out this great article about our global strategy for a better understanding, Building Where We Sell.

If you are having a specific transmission concern, please PM me with your VIN, contact info, mileage, and dealer so I can try to assist.

I have a 2011 v6 automatic with 2000 miles on it and its starting to make a knocking noise when i accelerate gently and coast at low speeds around 5 to 15 mph. It doesnt make the knocking noise when I accelerate hard nor does it make this sound when Im cruising above 15 mph and give it gas. What could this be?

Hi zubdog,

I understand how frustrating it can be to have such noises in your new vehicle. If you haven't already, I suggest having your Mustang diagnosed at the dealer. They are in the best position to determine the cause of your knocking noise. If you would like additional assistance, please send me a PM with your VIN, contact information, mileage, and servicing dealer information. I will then work with you to resolve this concern.

Completely agree and therefor Mustangs sold in the USA should not have Chinese made transmissions in them.

Then buy the automatic, the rest of us who understand how a global economy works can have manuals.

Go through your home right now and throw away everything that was made in china or other third world asian country, I doubt you would have much left.

I have a 2011 Gt MT82 and so for so good. But I do have very low miles on my car and realy never run it hard. I just hope that the owners with problem cars that cannot seem to get fixed cause enough concerns that if there is a "Non driver Abuse" problem with the MT82's, it gets addressed before my car starts falling apart and all of us Mustang Stick fans end up with a quality car. As far as the Chinese building the MT82, have you guys seen this Youtube video of a Chinese factory workers job conditions:
