So... Boss 302?

Depends on the mood of the day, really. Sometimes I want to manhandle and take the bronco by the mane. Other days I want a nice, poised dressage. On those days, I just lighten up on the throttle. But I get what you're saying.

I'm not a big fan of bench racing but all in all, the determination of which car is faster is entirely dependent on the track that the test is being performed on. If the track has long straights the car with more power will certainly come out ahead but if the track has more twisties, the car with better handling dynamic and weight distribution will always come out ahead which is where the 302 shines over the GT500. They are both great cars in their own right!

But damn I'd love to own one of them, regardless of all the slalom and skidpad testing, track times, or quarter mile times.

There is a guy on another forum that has a grigs gt500. on the same track with the same driver he said the boss was clearly the better handling car box stock against the grigs gt500. that speaks volumes coming from a guy that owns both and considering the money he has invested in the GT500. in a nut shell it the boss was easier to drive fast even being his first outing in it according to him. the guy was so impressed that he sold off the watts link he ordered for the boss and runs it box stock.
as said they are both great cars. I've driven both, on the street the boss feels much more nimble and in texas heat soak is a biatch. the same guy noted that his gt500 would heat soak and times fell off over the course of a 20 min session where as the na car was consistent. i'd wager if you took the boss and the gt500, made it a multiple lap race the difference would be significant over a few laps. i don't know anyone that races for a single lap other than mags looking for the single best lap with cool downs between. a 20 min track session is more compelling a comparison to me.
