Angry Infamous water leak claims another victim!

So I'm driving to work minding my own business when all of the sudden I hear this trickling of water. I figured it was on the exterior and it did rain all day so I wasn't too worried when all of the sudden 2 FRICKIN' GALLONS OR MORE OF WATER comes pouring into my passenger side floor from behind my glovebox!!! I'm beyond angry! I don't even know what to do. My plan is to go to the dealership I bought the car from and explain what has happened to them seeing as I am on warranty until 100k miles (only at 44k) and go from there. Any suggestions guys, I don't know much about this and I'm lost...please help if you know anything

Oh man, that really sucks. It seems like just about every one of us with the older cars get it sooner or later.

Guess I'm just waiting till my car gets it.

With that much water that fast its probably the drain hole grommet
plugged up below the cabin air filter, remove pass side plastic cowl
and look down in there. If you park in an area with trees it will fill
with leaf parts.

Correct, it should be a simple fix to find it. I usually give them a quick peek every now and then to make sure they're not plugged.

Have you ever had your door fill with water? That was an interesting experience let me tell you!

Yep, thats why I removed the plastic pieces from the drain holes on the bottom
of doors and the grommets from drains on firewall to let them flow free.
Some people will say not to take ones out of firewall, they block fumes,
but since aftermarket hoods don't have weather strips on back edge and
all that air goes in the cowl top I've never noticed any problems, been running
this way for +3yrs.

After discussing this with the dealership I bought the car at and my local Ford dealer I think this is the culprit. I also noticed that my driver's side weather strip has been mangled and the black trim piece that outlines the top of our windows is cracked. Someone possibly tried to break into my car prior to getting my alarm causing that one or the horrible ice storms this past winter could've been the culprit. Either way I'm going to take a look at it tomorrow morning as it's my girl and I's 4 year anniversary and I'm no genius but working on the car today might not be such a good idea in her eyes, haha...I'll keep everyone updated and thanks for everyones help.

and S197GT, sorry to hear about that door, here's hoping that I never see that one!

Oh and the stealership (both) wanted to charge me a minimum of $500 to fix it. haha
