And until then we'll be waiting with bated breath!

Well got the brakes today, im waiting on some new ceramic pads to come in tomorrow for the install, still keeping my fingers crossed. Everything looks brand new and clean. With less than 50 miles on the rotors as stated by the seller (sms supercars) should i resurface the new rotors for the pads or no? And there is also grey stuff that is on the rotor hats, im assuming fords way of keeping them from rusting?

If it were me, I'd go without resurfacing the rotors. I don't know about the grey stuff...

Hmm could be what that's for, and it's not just you (though my internet out here is slow anyway). My "unread" threads keep saying threads I've already seen are still "unread". Oh well.

Hmm, its not very "durable" some of the edges have been scraped already as you can notice. Would be nice if a someone with a 5.0 provided some input on this "grey stuff".

The "transplant" was a success! Looks like the only thing that is different is the bracket. Sorry no pics but the caliper and even the brake pads show no difference. The only thing is, apparently the brake master cylinder is different. On the drives side, i could not use the 5.0 brake line as our cars have two brake lines branching off from one, and 5.0 has only one. But the stock brake line hooks up to the new caliper with no problem. I will post up the pic of the car in few hours.

Sweet, that's great news!!! Glad to hear it! I may look into this someday if you notice some considerable difference! Is there a chance you can show a side by side comparo of the different parts (showing how they're different)?

Grey stuff on the rotors is just paint or whatnot. Nothing to worry about. I recently got new rotors from Ford and they have the paint on the hub part and around the edges, but not on the actual rotor friction surface.

Glad to hear that it all worked out.

Do we have an update? Have you noticed a difference in braking power? Got any pics yet?
