Default Why is my clutch slipping????

Just finally got my05 GT on the road. The clutch is slipping bad. When it went to storage it worked perfectly. It doesnt engage now untill the pedal is almost fully out, and if i give it any throttle more than necessary at speed it slips bad.
It has 30,000 mile son it and like i said worked fine before. I know very little about the hydraulic clutch setup so if anyone can help me out that'd be great. I cant really afford a new clutch at the moment! lol

How often have you driven it since it's been out of storage? Over the winter for what ever reason mine was doing it when it was really cold out or when I went long periods of time without driving it, now it works fine after it warmed up and I started driving it again.

I would blead the heck out of it, replacing all the fluid. Are the brakes soft too? Try bleeding them also.

Hi 05StangZz,

If you are not comfortable with bleeding the clutch, then I recommend having it serviced by your local dealership. They are fully trained and in the best position to resolve this for you. You can locate your nearest one here.

Ok, so i rented a vacuum pump kit from advanced auto. The rubber stopper thing isnt big enough for the master cylinder res. At least i think its the rubber stopper that is mentioned in the previous post link... Any suggestions? I really dont want to have to buy all kinds of tools if i can help it....
