quick answers for a satifying exhuast?
i have flowmaster 40 exhuast on my 05 gt and to be honest its too quite for me. My local exhuast shop recomended dynomax bullet mufflers or single chamber flowmasters...i am stuck. Does anyone have that setup and love it? i Want an exhuast that sound beefy . I want it too rumble and be loud. (F my neighbors) and make everyone know i have a muscle car. Any suggestions? My budget is up to 300, 350. Cuz i want that tuner/cai combo. I heard slp from am is good too? Helpful suggestions please. And would removing my cats help or hurt my car?

Removing cats won't hurt if you have a tune. I have the same exhaust as you on my GT/CS, it has a good sound but isn't real loud. Just removing cats may help alot.
My GT has no cats & bassani mufflers, & ITS LOUD! sounds great but not quite deep enough.

There are so many axleback choices it's not funny. And there are about 100 times as many threads on this. I find it hard to believe that you "have looked around already on the forum and cant find the answer im looking for." Have you actually tried the search feature? There's even a sticky in the S197 GT forum on exhausts.

Most people on here probably installed their mufflers themselves as its quite easy to do. I have boom tubes and shorty headers and it sounds pretty good, but i do hear other stangs on occasion that sound different and good as well. Boomtubes/loudmouths will be loud for sure but you get used to it after a while it seems.
Try taking the flows off completely and riding around with nothing after the stock h pipe. The boomtubes and loudmouths will be slightly less loud but a good bit more clean of a sound.
