I found these door drain plugs to be the culprit in more than one occasions.

This one can be nasty because the water will rise inside the door and escape from behind the door panel, thus sipping onto the carpet.
I had a brand new GT500 in the shop with 2 inches of water above the carpet on both sides!!

Needless to say, those plugs never went back on and the ones in my car were also gone that same day.
So, you just pulled the plugs completely out? I just want to be clear before I do it.

Can you give more details? How did you get to that body seam? The pictures are too focused on a section for me to really determine where you're looking at.

hey I am right there with ya, what the hell is an SJB? Junction Box of some kind? I will probably feel stupid when you guys say what that acronym stands for.
and the pics kinda look like the kick panel on the passenger side.

Yes, its the smart junction box, and that seam is located above it on the passenger side. I will get better shots today.

Yep, another f#ck up from Ford.
This thing don't let the water drain like it's supposed to.
There are 2 per door, yank them out!
Mine are long gone...

Hi everyone,

If you suspect you are having a leak concern that may be addressed in a TSB, then I suggest visiting your dealer. They are in the best position to diagnose and correct it. If necessary, you can locate your dealer here, as well as the phone number to schedule an appointment. Have a great day!
