Default Got to drive my friend's "supposed" 450hp GT the other day

Every time i ask what he has done to it, he never really gives me a straight answer. It sounds GREAT though, so there's been a decent amount of work put in it. I drive a v6, so i was crazy excited that i was getting to drive not only a GT, but a moderately modded one at that. When i floored it from a light, i was a little disappointed. It definitely pushed me back in my seat more than my car, but i didn't feel like it was all that amazing. Made me feel alot better about my car (and ***** size). Another thing, he still has stock brakes and hasnt changed anything as far as handling goes. I had to really buckle down on the brakes to make the thing stop...which really made me appreciate my pony package brakes. I still cant get over how manly a v8 sounds though haha

450 hp , was it supercharged ? and what kind ?, screw or roots type would have been instant (you would defiantly felt that ) , centri would progressively built up boost (wouldn't really feel it till later in the rpm range )

Yeah, if it was REALLY built, he would know exactly what he had done to it and be more then happy to tell you. lol

I'm betting a Flowmaster 44 series catback and that's it.

Floor my car from a dead stop and it'll go sideways in both directions or break something lol

What year is it? Is he getting 450 at the wheels or the crank.....? Either way if he ain't running a forced induction setup on 05-09 GT he's not at 450 hp or 450whp and he's bsing you.

yeah 450 horsepower from a dead stop should obliterate the tires. My 94 Z28 only had 300 at the wheels and it would spin through first and second on stock tires.

Crack or too much huffing glue if it's an NA 4.6. But if he has a 5.0, 450 CRANK is certainly possible, easy as a matter-of-fact, with a good tune.

I don't get it ?? Why would he need to change brakes to make the car stop just because he added HP?? Something wrong with his brakes? You do know that Brembo's don't stop any better than the stock brakes ... just stop better when hot.

LOL, if you don't spin the tires a bit, it ain't got 450 ponies.
Even with a 2.73 gears.

Not to mention, pony package brakes are the same as stock GT brakes.
