Default 5k to spend. Help on what to get?

So i have 5g to throw into my car. im wanting to build this car into a beast, and initially my first thought was a supercharger but, ive seen and read about alot of these 5.0's making 500+ rwhp N/A no problem..

Currently on the car.
3:73 gears
Flowmaster Hushpower axleback exhaust
eibach Prokit performance springs
Tokico D-spec shocks
C&L Intake
SCT Tuner with Bama Tunes

Would a Cam/Heads/Headers package be more efficient than a supercharger? or make around the same hp? and should i change my exhaust? or get an X-Pipe? not really too familiar with X-Pipes, always had cat backs... All tips/suggestions will be extremely helpful! thanks

I dont know much about the new 5.0s but cams and headers seems like the way to go if your gonna go N/A. On a 4.6 a supercharger will far outdo cams and headers though, probably the same for your 5.0

Cams, heads, and headers won't make the same power as a supercharger I'm almost sure...... And I'm sure its been done/can be done but I haven't heard of an N/A 500+rwhp 5.0

Well the only thing about a supercharger is the supporting mods that need to follow. which im thinking would put me over 5g's. and the thought of maybe frying a piston down the road or the car blowing up bothers me a little bit.

SC will get you more HP than all motor.
JPC racing makes some killer Mustangs.
500 rwhp all motor, and 800 rwhp SC'd
you want a beast, go FI.
sure you can make a beast of a NA Mustang, but it'll be faster with FI.

do you think i could find a S/C and all neccesary supporting mods for under 5 grand though? and what about running it on an essentially all stock motor with only a axle back?

Stress on the internals and potential heat soak are completely absent with heads/cams combo etc. like they are with FI

5k, id get some American Racing Headers. They add great power to the 5.0 motor right off the bat and they come with an X-pipe. Id take the rest of the cash and invest in some Wilwood brakes so you have some better stopping power.

With a desire for at least 500 hp and $5,000, I would wait another couple months, save another $1,000, and get a supercharger. Waiting sucks, I know, but its worth it.

Roy took the words right out of my mouth. Take it to the market and invest wisely. Then buy the supercharger and maybe even have a few bucks left over.
