Excellent trip! I've taken a few 2,000 mile trips and many, many 1,000 mile trips with the Stang and although my SUV is a lot more comfortable, I always prefer the Stang.

It's always fun to go 'all the way' in the mustang.

I'm sorry, Shella. But at my age, I'd need some serious pain killers after going all the way in the Stang. My SUV is much more comfortable for.... "that".

Lol, Nuke! Your "pain" would be dead! No pain at all!

Yay for the mustangs!

Great story! I will not lie, I am jealous; I always wanted to take such a road trip but I do not have the cash to do so.

Speaking from my own experience, my own '11 is very comfortable even for driving 8hrs at a time. And my car is not even the premium subtrim (plain old cloth seats). My GF also says the seats are very comfortable, more so than the seats of an SN95.

Nah, not really. He must have been driving it like it was meant to be driven. I know I would be if I were on such a road trip.
Heck, I bet he could have gotten 24-25 mpg avg even with the in city excursions.

Also, I haven't been on a long trip yet, but I drive 20 or so miles each day to work.

This car feels like a caddy when cruising at 60-70 mph in 6th gear.
