Default Shifting weird and screwy steering?!?!?

My 06 GT has been acting up lately, maybe someone here has had similar problems and can help...

Problem 1: The other day on my way home from the store I lost my power steering. No pump whining, no sound of any kind to indicate it was gonna stop working, and the fluid level is full - one minute it's there and the next it's not. I got myself home and the next day I had to use the car and after about 10 minutes I have power steering again..... WTF?!?! Everything was fine for a couple days, then I felt it start to get hard to steer for a few seconds while in a drive-thru and then it came right back again.

Problem 2: The tranny won't shift into overdrive until 60+ mph more than half of the time, but other times it shifts at about 40 under light throttle. This is a real problem since I get stuck cruising behind old people here in Florida going 50-55 everywhere I drive. I'm using a 93 Torque Tune from Bamachips (Pre-American Muscle days) that has always shifted great - chirps 2nd with good tires and with stock pirellis would chirp 3rd as well. The car has close to 150k miles on it now and the filter along with about half the fluid was changed at around 125k when I got the car back from what is now my ex-wife.

Any thoughts on either one of these problems would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

Oh and btw.... ran at the track for the first time ever last month and pulled a 13.4 with BALD *** tires. Car had shortys with a magnaflow catted x and flowmasters along with a 93 american muscle tune, and still had stock airbox!!

That first problem is weird.

AM/Bama might be able to help you out on the second problem though...at worst they might tell you its not tune related but transmission related.

It's the same tune I've used for years before with no problems... It would be nice to know if there are some issues with solenoids inside, or a band needing adjustment... a valve in the valve body that likes to stick in these transmissions, or if it's clutch packs.

There has to be some common issues with these transmissions or someone out there that's had the same problem and found a fix.

You REALLY need to get that steering problem looked at.
I would not HESITATE to take it to the dealership on a problem such as this.
You are talking about a safety issue here.

Take her in. Better to be safe than sorry.

If the steering goes out again I can still control the car, it would feel almost the same as long as the car is going more than 5 mph. however i would think someone has to have had the same issue - stuck valve somewhere or something - i dunno...
