Just changed mine yesterday with Royal Purple.

Annoyed me that Ford didn't put a drain plug on the diff cover.

Extra step required.

There's an easy fix for that.

I switched both the tranny fluid and axle fluid to Royal Purple two weekends ago. Car has 53k mi. FWIW, I'm also running Royal Purple in the motor.

No problems even with the larger diameter BMR PB. It's close, but there's clearance with the low profile cover.

105k miles on my rear differential and I just replaced the fluid. Went to AutoZone and got their off the shelf Valvoline Synthetic 75-140 Gear Oil and some cheap friction modifier stuff matching the Ford specs ... Used Permatex UltraBlack RTV... Pretty easy but messy job:-)

A Lube Locker gasket is a good alternative to the messy RTV.
