07-10 GT vs 11-12 V6

Quick question about the new 3.7L V6... How safe is it to get to the 450-475 HP range like the 4.6L V8? Are there many FI options for the 3.7 yet? A quick search on google came up with a Procharger kit for the manual tranny only that supposedly adds another 170+ HP at the crank. How much more will it safely take?

If you take the V6 you get better MPG's, better interior, and just the bonus of knowing you have a "new" car. Although the older GT gives you that roar that muscle cars should have.
Whatever you choose will leave you with a Mustang, and that's all that matters!

Maybe where you're from but not around here. Just because it has more power doesn't mean it's cheaper insurance. To insure a brand new car versus a used car is usually more expensive, which was the case when I was looking into 2011's vs. the 05-09 GT's.

Decide what body style you like more. If you like the older ones go that route. If you like the newer one, get the v6...or the best of both worlds...a 2010 GT. I love my 6 and went with a 12 v6 bc I prefer the new body style and wanted a NEW car...that being said, if I could have afforded a 12 GT I would have gone in that direction. If I was in the market for used, I prob would have grabbed the 10 GT.

I vote GT too. I was in a similar predicament to yours with my '05 V6. Wasn't ever going to get the performance and definitely not the sound that I wanted. I sold it and bought the '08 GT you see below.
I tell alot of people that one of my big motivators for getting the GT was sound-- and they look at me like I'm crazy. So, I'm glad to read alot of these posts that mention sound as a big reason to go for the GT.
When I had my V6, seemed like everybody wanted to try and race me, and that got very annoying. With my GT, as loud as it is, nobody wants to mess with me. They hover close, checking it out, and then they just stay at my rear fender, never actually pulling up. I feel like the hunter now, instead of the hunted. Go with the GT.
