Default 07-10 GT vs 11-12 V6

Well, Im thinking about trading in my car since its gonna cost way too much money to upgrade it to the power levels I want. So pretty much I can afford an 07-09 GT and maybe a 2010(seen a few for good prices). Or I could go for a used 11-12 V6. Tough decision since they both are similar in power and price for the most part. I would be getting a stick shift. So it would also come down to the 5 spd vs the 6 spd. I really like the idea of having a V8 but also like the body style of the 11-12 and Im in love with grabber blue lol. If yall could sway me one way or the other I would appreciate it.

Personally the sound of a GT would be enough to sway me towards an 07-10 but I also don't care for the rear end of the new ones. Not to mention the new v6s may rival the GT in terms of HP, they lack the torque needed to beat them stock for stock. You'd also have money leftover from buying an older model GT to throw towards mods. Just my opinion.

05-09 body styling is better, you get a v8, and you can get it for cheaper than a 2011/12 v6 if you know where to look.

11-12 V6. Good looking body style, Better interior, 6 speed, Also better MPGs. Cheaper insurance. 11-12s have better handling vs 05-09s.

This needs to be a poll. Insurance is questionable, i'm 22 & my insurance is only $107/month for full coverage on an '05. While it MAY be cheaper on a newer v6, mine isn't that high IMO. In fact, it's $10 cheaper per month than the '06 F150 Supercrew 4x4 I traded in on the GT. The handling can be changed with a few mods & still be cheaper than a 2011/12.

I had a similar decision and went with the v6. When I romp on the car, I can still get 20mpg. It's very quick, the body styling is better, interior is nicer and it's newer. Only downside is it doesn't sound anything like a v8, but it's a great cruisin' motor and has 300HP to tear *** around with.

I like the body on the new generation better than the older generation, however I voted GT. For me, sound is one of those things that you can't measure so much, but has to be right to complete the muscle experience. The new V6s are sweet, don't get me wrong, I test drove one and they pull well and have plenty of power especially for the kind of mileage they manage.

However in the end, the torque and sound of the V8 intoxicated me when I test drove it, and forever did I make my dealer happy lol.

It's a matter of preference and nothing more. This is just going to end up as one of the million V6 VS. GT threads that never end well
