This video is awesome in itself, but I think it proves that hood flutter shouldn't concern anyone from a safety standpoint. Aesthetically is a whole different story though:

I have a trufiber myself, and it did flutter some, but I'm sure its not going anywhere. I just tightened up my hood stops, and ordered some hood pins off of ebay. They were only about 40$.

Note it says you have to get rid of the hood prop and use the struts with that kit.

No problem! Be sure to post pictures and impressions when you get them in!

mlawdawg, snapped a few pics for ya. I will take some actual photos of everything this weekend, but I hope these help for now.

Here the hood pins. Essentially its just a bolt with a rectangular top with a slit in it. You adjust the hight with a few bolts and volia. You just have to be carefull when closing the hood, as its a tight fit getting the bolt of the pins straight through the hood. Clearance is tight, beware!

And here is where I tapped and installed the pins themselves. You could mount them anywhere you wish I suppose, but I had to put them here as I picked the hood up used and the holes were already made in the hood for the pins.

in this arrangement, I had to forfit my prop rod, and thus needed hood struts. I heard a lot of horror stories about bowing and whatnot. I landed up going with CDC hoot strut kit (10min install, super easy). So far, so good - but only time will tell. I have heard good things about the cpc/nxt generation hoodstruts. Hope this helps man. Cheers

yeah.. that was actually the first mod I did to my baby.. and I actually chose CPC NXT Gen struts too.. which is what they recommend and sell in a kit with the pins also.
