ac says overcharged
First off I apologize if this is a repost I only have access to the internet from my phone and swore I already asked this but can't find it in my records... but anyway on my 2005 gt the air never gets cold.. I tried to refill it with r134 but when I tried to refill it the gauge on the r134 says system is already overcharged and it won't take anymore. The fan runs as should.. what else is there to check?

Charge level is temperature dependent. If your gauges aren't calibrated for various temps, get a different gauge.
If the system has some miles on it and isn't leaking, it's probable that wear metal from the compressor has stacked up in the orifice tube and is blocking refrigerant flow. You really should get a pro to pull the refrigerant off the system and inspect the orifice tube if none of the pressure switches, relays etc. are bad and the system is charged.

Agree as stated. Also, does the compressor cycling on as it should? If not, then you need that checked. The fan is simply an internal item..same as heater fan. I have seen systems so over charged that they did not operate. Letting a bit of pressure off helped. Is this the first time any freon has been added to the system?

Also keep in mind that the pressure reading is meant to be taken when the system is running. If it isn't, you very well could be seeing a higher pressure because you're reading from the low pressure side when the system pressure is equalized throughout.

If it is overcharged it will not cool properly, or at all. When it comes to refrigerant more is not better. Overcharging can cause damage. I would suggest you have someone that is knowledgeable check it out.
