A gear dilemma...
Hey guys
So im thinking about my next mod and im thinking that a gear set is prolly the way to go. Ive also been kicking around the idea of a 8.8" rear end for my v6, seeing as I do plan on getting FI at some point and figured it would be wise of me. So how nice is it that newtakeoff.com offers complete 8.8" rear axle assemblies with perf gears installed?

Just wondering what you guys think about the price/value of the combo, and what you would estimate for installation? I know ill need a tune as well to recalibrate the computer, unless the mechanic can do that
Other question being whether to go with 3.55 or 4.10... Most of my driving is in the city but I do go on 2 1,000 mile road trips every year from denver to san diego and back, get on the highway occasionally in CO, and drive southern california freeways during the winter. I LOVE the idea of being able to knock the wind out of someone with acceleration and dont mind coughing up a reasonable amount of extra dough at the pump, but I dont want to break the bank either XD as much as I wish i could really baby my baby, she is a daily driver.
Thoughts welcomed.

I have 3.55 and I love them Seems to be just the right mix for me, I have driven a 4.10 geared car and it just felt way to aggressive(jumpy) for me; my car is a daily driver.
If your car is more of a weekend warrior track car then yeh 4.10 all the way but for normal stop and go traffic and daily driving I think they are just to aggressive.
I recommend actually driving cars that have gears and see what you think I’m sure there will be lots of opinions on this.
