m90 gives me another trophy!
My local track was hosting the NHRA Hawaii State Championships last nite. I was running the sportsman class. Temps were hot and air was kinda humid. DA was 1575. First qualifying run was a 12.32 @ 112. No PB...bummer... Car was super smooth though. New LCA's out back didnt do much to improve my times but maybe thats why the car felt so smooth. IDK. Next run was a 12.37. Air was bad so I gave up the PB approach and went for consistancy. Let the car run warm and it runs in the 12.5s all nite.
Dialed in a 12.55 and ran 12.57 twice. Was able to knock off some very good racers and made it to the finals. Ran against a 68 stang, he was a 13 second car. I caught him at the finish line. Won by .0012. Whats that an inch? LOL I was stoked. Two races into our season and I have won both of them!!!!!!

The trophy is very cool.
Its a wooden plaque with a wally inserted into it. Also got a check for $200. Sweet, more mods!
This m90 is so consistant. I know when my car is warmed up exactly where it gonna run and thats how you win races. The car has impressed a lot of folks here. I am the only s197 that races at my track, but there are loads of other mustangs. Tonite its 12.90 class, so I gotta slow it down and thats kinda hard. If you havent raced your car your really missing out on a lot of fun.
Video of me racing a trans am. She is a very good racer. I have only beaten her twice ever since 2004. I dialed a 12.55 and ran a 12.57 She dialed a 12.84 and ran a 12.86. My RT was .03 better! haha....
