Default So if I wanted to wire up some led's...

To come on when I push my unlock button, (just the the overheads), how would I go about that?
I'm thinking about putting them in my grille, but only want them on when I hit the unlock button. Anyone got a wiring setup or something?

I'm sure someone did it. In theory it's simple. Run your lights in the grille and where else you want them, then tie them into the cabin lights so that when you unlock the car it lights up your grille. If you are resourcefull enough, google may prove to be your best friend. You can get your diagrams from there. Doesn't have to be mustang related..

I added lights in the footwells and under the seats, but mine have a switch that I control when to turn on and off. Quite simple if you are handy with wires and a soldering iron lol

I ran my interior lights through the headlight switch relay (used some yellow wire with 12v), and they come on when I hit my door unlock (along with headlights) or when I turn on my headlights (but I also have a remote to turn them off if I so choose).

This is what I used:

This is the write-up I borrowed from 07blackGT:

I was gonna say off the headlight switch, but they'll also come on whenever you turn them on. Kinda sounds like you only want them on when you unlock.

Possibly some sort of a timer relay, using the unlock switch to trigger it? Maybe post this up in electronics.

I'd say whatever lighting comes on when unlocked would be your power source and just run the lights. I figure it would be an easy wiring job once you found you tie in point.

the overhead dome light is powered off the CanBus Instrument cluster. If you look at the dome light, it will have 2 power wires. 1 wire is the manual power supply, the other is the inst. cluster supply.

tap into the one from the inst cluster and use it to switch a relay that cuts on your LED's whenever you unlock. the 10 minute battery saver circuit will turn the lights on/off with you lock/unlock the car. and the lights wouldn't be on whenever you are driving
