Tail of the Dragon video
So on are way to mustang week we stopped in the smokies for a few nights. We went down the Tail of the Dragon and the skyway which was awesome. The tail of the dragon has 311 curves in 11 miles. These curves are very, very sharp. Some good switch backs. It was our first time going through it so I didnt get to throttle happy. U really wouldnt want to bc if you have a mishap your dead. My Fiance took a video thats kind of shows you how sharp the curves are. The curves get very sharp about half way through. Thought I would share this to any of you thinking about going there.

My son just returned from business at a hospital in Tennessee near the Dragon. The hospital personnel told him how many deaths and traumas they get from people trying to push it. But I've also heard how scenic it is. I'm at work and can't open your video so it'll have to wait until I get home.

The tail of the dragon is nothing to play around with, you better stay focused and alert your entire ride.
I believe it averages at little over 1 death a year which is not that bad considering the challenging road, no gaurd rails and your average person driving faster than they know how to control.
