Shakers a piece of crap. Get a new head unit.

Hopefully someone adds some helpful info.

Doubtful it's needed. I'm sure by now she's figured out it doesn't automatically start playing just because a new cd was loaded. Likely just a drive-by freak-out.

mine did that back in late 08.. never worked since.. now, when it initializes CD.. it makes a horrible cracking sound, repeating for about 30 seconds. It does this everytime I start the car, press the CD function or shake the car too hard when it's off rofl

The second it start giving problems ditch it.get an aftermarket...even the cheapest are better than the "skipper".they make double dins to fit.

Mine would skip in certain slots and eject randomly when turning on the car. After switching to aftermarket, I wonder why I hadn't done so a long time ago. Night and day difference in the sound quality, with the stock speakers!

I just got rid of the 'Skipper and put one of these bad boys in, along with the PAC C2R-FRD1 wiring kit to use the stock amps, the stereo sounds about 20x better than stock, and looks pretty sweet too (I'll post pictures soon).....
