Thanks for posting this Mike! Since I will be making a road trip to Texas to have my swap done . The only difference is I am staying loyal to the Vortech and upgrading to a T-Trim!

I never asked you, what did you do with the old V6 and transmission?
Thanks, Jim.
Sold the engine before it was removed from the car, most of it, anyway; the guy was going to put it in an Explorer and just wanted it without hardly anything on it. (hence you getting the starter!)
Sold the transmission locally a couple months after removal to someone who's driveshaft broke and tore up the back of his transmission as well.

Seeing how "small" the v6 engine was, and how much power it could put out with a blower, it's truly impressive!

Cram a 5.4 in there.

I've been looking at the 5.4 but everyone I've found were 3v, not 4v

Well the 3v is still pretty powerful, and has alot of torque (it IS a truck motor after all). Hold out for a 4v though. I hear with port/polished heads, cams, and some longtubes, you could be banging out 450hp.

For the 4V, try LKQ if you can get a wholesale account...
