I would let one of those dent repair vans work on the fender. Those guys can do some amazing things with their tools.

+ 1 on that. Have the dent guys take care of that for you. Not sure on prices. $ 50 or $100 on that dent ?

What do you think about repairing the rear bumper the way Tanner05 did hers?

I want to see if there is a way to DIY all this, because 800 bucks is about what I make in 3 months. heh.
On the bumper you can do a Tanner (no pun intended) but beware of spray cans...
They won't have the same metallic and because of that, it will never blend.
Tanner's car is a straight color (non-metallic) so it's more forgiving...
Just buff the dark marks on your bumper and brush touch where the paint is gone.

The 800 quote is because you have to re-clear the whole bumper and quarter panel all the way by the windshield in order to do a perfect job.
When you don't have a break line in a particular panel, you have to spray the whole thing.

I understand that funds are an issue...it`s better to save up and get it repaired right then to rush the repair by doing it yourself...you don`t want it to look like a Mickey mouse job.

Just a thought, but do you have uninsured motorist coverage? My daughter's car had only liability and uninsured motorist and got hit and run. Insurance covered 100% (American Family). This was 7 years ago, so don't take it as Gospal today.

Doesn't matter, his deductible still applies and that's the problem.

If you are really determined to try it yourself, you may want to find an old fender to play with.. maybe a motorcycle fender. You'll find getting the dent out is hard, but some people have a natural talent for it. You can usually find a paint shop that can mix your color and put it in a spay can if you can't find an off the shelf match, sherwin williams used to offer that service. I'd mask off the dent to the smallest area and not try to blend it...going for the least noticeable fix. Good luck. BTW, I had uninsured motorist coverage, got a hit and run. Insurance was supposed to cover a hit and run with no deductable. The insurance company refused to pay, they said I'd have to find the driver of the other car and prove they did not have insurance, otherwise they would assume I hit a pole or something myself.

That's great advice, actually. Thanks!
Trying out something to practice on..hmmm.

@ Pascal,
is the part of the car that's dented, something that is easily replaceable? Say if I were to find a Satin Silver stang at a junkyard, could I get that particular part off? Or is it all welded on?

LOL, it's part of the body shell.
So it's welded all right.
