Life is better with an Amsoil Preferred Customer membership. The price discount usually pays for itself in just one order. Besides products for the Stang, I also use their products for marine and yard equipment.

Nuke-

Got Amsoil ATF for my t5 on your recommendation- Such a great decision I put the Amsoil decal on my radiator cover. Smoother shifts than w RP, and safer too- the third gear grind I used to have has only occurred once since, and it was much milder.

I didn't want to start a new thread for american muscle, but is the forum rep still Nick? I pm'd him, but he hasn't gotten back to me...been at least 2 weeks. I am just looking for the discount code...want to do CAI and exhaust.

ok. damn it. Which one is better cuz I did research on the forums and the general consesus is RP and I was about to change ALL my fluids in the car to RP. I have an appointment with my garage next weekend and with my tranny, differential, coolant etc.

And I should prolly make a different thread for this question.

I put RP synchromax in my tranny a month ago. My formerly mild occasional third gear grind became severe and worrysome. Ran it for about 3 weeks, all the while the grind was getting more frequent and nasty. Finally said OHSHI better dump RP BEFORE you destroy your transmission. Put in AMSOIL products and havent had an issue since.

Moral of the story- After just about destroying my third gear synchro with RP tranny fluid, I switched to Amsoil. No issues, better performance.

I will NEVER again use an RP product

Also, if you search the forums, you will find wonder and horror stories about RP but not a negative word said about AMSOIL

The concept is that RP is a performance fluid that sacrifices long term protection for performance. Whereas AMSOIL protects first and performs second. As someone who drives his car every day and wants to drive it far into the future. I choose AMSOIL

so I'm looking at the AM site. Do the amsoil fluids IE transmission / differential still need to have other additived added to them ? I don't see that anywhere in the description like I did in the RP ones.
