Default Sct tuner

I just bought my sct tuner from AM on Saturday and the order is suppose to be here on Tuesday what's the best things about it for a manual? I have a k&n cai and my cats are gutted and a shirt throw shifter.

"Best things"? How's about the extra 15-20 RWHP (if you're a V6) or 20-25 RWHP (if you're a V8)? How about improved throttle response? Other than being pushed deeper into the back of your seat and a lot more wood, not much else.

ok now i fill up at chevron and forgot the fuel i use is 88 is that going to be fine with my 87 tune or will i have to get a new tune written or can i chnage that myself??

Going over the octane is fine...going under can cause boom.

88 octane on a 87 tune is fine. I run 92/93 octane with 91 tune because I'm not always able to get 92/93 octane. So I play it safe.

+1. You can run any octane higher than the octane that the tune calls for except it won't provide any added gains. Drive on...

Of course, you COULD have ordered your tunes for those specific octanes that are available to you.
