Default New tires and my car feels faster?!

The old joke is that your car feels faster after you've washed it. I just replaced my Pirellis with new versions of the same tire. For some reason, my car suddenly feels much quicker and even sounds more aggressive. Strange. It's like someone shot my car with a big dose of steroids. I'm having a hoot driving it again. I know this is entirely subjective. Anyone else have that experience, where one mod gives you a subjective feeling of gain in something unrelated?

I put a sticker on my window and it's like I instantly gained 30-50 rwhp.

Too bad you didn't get new tires AND wash your car at the same time. It would be turning high 11's...

Could it be that your old tires had low tire pressure and the new ones are pumped up higher? A few PSI can make a car feel a lot "crisper" and responsive.

In case anyone missed my intention, I'm just laughing at myself here. Maybe I'll get some racing stickers, wash the car, change to a shorty antenna, and add a huge wing to the rear. The car will feel REALLY fast then

Seriously though, when I replaced my BFG KDWs stickers with the 255/40/18 Bridgestone 760's my car did feel more squarely planted and responsive. A good set of tires can work wonders

Sarcasm can be hard to read on a forum.
