Default Car starting problems..

Well,
a few days ago I went to Vans Warped Tour, and my car sat outside all day in the lovely sun. Then it started pouring down rain, and she sat out in the rain for a bit.
I got in the car and went to start her, and she kinda sputtered. Unusual...
My mileage was also switched over to the full mileage view (29xxxx) as opposed to my trip meter, where I leave it. You know how when you turn it off then back on it will stay on what it was in when it was turned off. If it was on trip, it stays on trip. etc.
But it switched over to full, same as it would if the battery was unplugged.

It stuttered the next start as well.

I spaced out, and sat in the car for an hour with AC/Radio running for an hour without the engine running..then she wouldn't start at all.
Got a jump, and things were fine the next few starts.

Now she's sputtering again.
The lights flash, radio dims in and out, and she sputters when trying to start.

I took it by an auto store, and it tested out perfectly. The battery is brand new. It read the correct cold crank amps or whatever.

So if the battery isn't the issue..what would be?
I would do research myself, but I have to be up in 5 hours for work, and i'd like to have an answer by time I wake up.

Help!
(I recently added a push start button, so it's a possibility it's something to do with the wiring, although the button was added 2 weeks ago, and the problem started 3 days ago...)

Hey man I am trying to help you out my best cause I know the feeling of when your car isnt how it should be. I just asked my father who knows EVERYTHING about cars and he said its a good chance its the starter solenoid. If your battery is testing out fine, he said theres a great chance on it being that. If the car runs fine otherwise after it starts and doesnt sputter in the upper rpms its not the spark plugs.

Sounds like your alternator. I just replaced my stock one a couple months ago after it went bad. Easy to swap in a new one. Automotive stores can test it for you on the car if you take your car to them. Just make sure there's enough juice in the battery

Were your floorboards wet after it rained?

But if he had a fully charged batter and trys to start the car and it sputters it cant be the alternator. The alternator only starts charging the battery once its already started. The battery would be dead when he went to go get it tested if the alternator was bad, because while the car was running it wouldnt be recharging it.

I agree with the above posters... the alternator or solenoid. I remember i had a similar issue with my classic mustang and ended up replacing both plus alot of the wiring. Electrical on a car can be a huge pain but im guessing you wont have to go that extreme.

kput - make sure all your cables to your spark plugs are pushed on, your terminals are clean, and all connections to your starter are clean. If the problem continues I would check the starter.

Does it make a weird sound when you try to start it besides the sputtering?

That is a good point.
If you floor boards were wet you could have the water leak which can damage your electrical system.
