I tend to think of it more like, "Is $5000 less for a V6 worth it?"

If I couldn't have a V8 I wouldn't have bought a Stang. The V6 in my sig I bought for my g/f.

the amount of money you will spend getting the 6 to equal the 400hp you want will cost you at least 5k, why not just buy one from the factory. 5.0 all the way

Get the 5.0. The v6 is a great car.. but the 5.0 is greater. If you can afford it, get the GT. If you are already planning on procharging the v6 anyway.. that tells my you really want the GT.

If you're going going to Procharge a V6, then you definitely want performance. Why not start with the better platform--the GT!
Test drive both, rev the engines. The SOUND alone will make the GT worth it.

Yep. Definitely 5.0 if you can't afford it. I never considered the v6. If I can't get the GT, time for a different ride.

Yes it is worth it for the GT.
Why procharge the V6 and pay just as much as you would for the GT and not have more potential like you do with the GT as WELL as not having to worry about the engine going boom or other troubles and hassles that aftermarket supercharging can present? Making sure you have a good tune, dealing with heat soak, other problems that arise etc, etc.

Makes no sense to supercharge the V6 vs getting a V8 in these cars if power is what you want. Unless you are one of those guys who enjoy trying to push a V6 as far as it can go etc.

Again yes the GT is worth 5k more and ESPECIALLY worth the cost over supercharging a V6!
