I know they went from 28 spline on the fox body cars to 31 spline on S197's, so I would say pretty strong!
I've actually heard of the stock clutch going before anything else as you build power on the S197 cars.

I didn't have any problem with the axles on my car (with 292 RWHP and 313 torque) - less than you are running I know but the problem I had was breaking the spider gears in the Tlok with a pair of M&H Cheaters on the car.
