Exclamation catalayic converter for 2011 v6 mustang

Hey. I have ford racing svt mufflers on my car and I was wondering if I took off the catalayic converters off my mustang, put a straight pipe just to fill inthe empty spot and connected it to my mufflers would it sound louder? Will I get more hp? Will gas be good or bad? Will it benifit?

Yes, it will be noticably louder. Removing cats off a car is single way to increase overall volume. Far as HOW it will sound, that depends on what you like. Some would love it, some would hate it. Tone is all personal preferance.

Bear in mind though that if you remove the cats and live in a area where you have to get yearly emissions checks, you will not pass them with the cats being off the car.

Have you removed them? I have heard that it keeps an engine light on the dash and also it takes in more gas then with them on is this true?
