Inside the engine compartment you will find a couple of rectangular rubber drain tubes on the firewall back by the cam covers. They get filled with crap and and water will drain in thru the cabin filter. Stick your finger in there and make sure they're clear.

There is also a TSB 08-26-07 that addresses the water leak. Been trying to find it for you but just came up with the number so far. IIRC it tells you to lift the plastic cowling around the wipers and put sealant around the rubber grommets where the plastic push pins go.

Found it!

Sounds like the stepper motors are gone... Do a search for it before taking your car in...

Congrats.

I own a 2002 Mineral Gray, wasnt sure about the color at first, but it really grows on you, it looks beastly at dusk. I love a stock Pony. Congrats!

Welcome to the (finicky) world of S197's! Be sure to bone-up on the laundry list of TSB's in the stickies.

Congrats and happy modding!
Definitely sounds like the stepper motor maybe going out. My radiator and RPM gauge act up off and on. Sometimes my RPM gauge runs 500 below and the radiator gauge is real finicky in the colder temperatures and doesn't move. At this time, I'm not too worried. However, if my speedometer starts to act up, I will have to get it fixed.
