My Flowmaster sounds pretty bad ***, its pretty damn loud, but it sounds good too.
It does have some decel pop, but I like it.
You could go for Macs, all the clips I have heard sound amazing, but I have been told they drone really bad.

you can hear it does not sound the greatest at higher rpms but it is loud some shorty headers might make it sound a little better.and I would get a pipe installed at least make it look like you have one lol.

SLP loudmouths will give you the loudest noise without the raspiness of cutting the muffler off entirely.

I would really recommend true dual with SLP loudmouths if you want it to sound V8 muscle car loud and sound.

no, they convert your exhaust system to have two exhaust outlets

Those two requirements are in conflict with each other because you can't have the 'most' of one (loudEST) and still have the 'most' of the other (BEST sound).

If you can't find a happy medium where you get enough of each, pick one of your requirements, forget the other, and live with it until you get sick of it.

Stags has suggested what you're most likely to be OK with, but even then you'd better plan up front on having to buy, try, and sell a couple of exhausts before you're fully satisfied (if that ends up even being possible).

Right. But you can between the loudest setups that have the cleanest sound OUT of that category.

Norm is right about trying and selling. OR finding friends that have setups you think you might like. Also maybe going to car shows and asking Mustang owners to fire up their cars for you.

In my experience as far as really loud setups the cleanest sound you are going to get is through a dual exhaust and SLP loudmouths. Boomtubes are also quite loud but a bit quieter and many say trade that small amount of volume for a bit more cleanliness.

Add a couple of cylinders..... not very nice there hehehe.

I think the OP understands he wont have the same sound as a loud V8.
But if he goes dual and puts some SLP loudmouths or boom tubes he can have a loud car with more of that muscle sound.

The SLP's and boomtubes wont give you as DEEP of a tone as some other setups but there is no REALLY LOUD setup with DEEP sound.
Especially on a V6.

I'm not looking to spend alot of money on this,
I'm wanting to just go with an axleback for now.

Out of what you guys have said, I'll either do with a boomtube, or the SLP,
just a single though. No dual-conversions.

If you are wanting loud go with SLP loudmouths. The cleanliness difference between them and the boomtubes is MINIMAL and the SLP's are noticeably louder.
SOME of the boomtubes have had problems with the stuff they put in there breaking or coming out.
