Cervinis Type IV Hood + FRPP CAI = Potentual Water Damage?
Hey guys-
So I just installed my FRPP CAI. It is clearly visible behind the scoop on the Type IV. Has anyone heard about or experienced water damage as a result of driving in rain with this configuration? I dont want to kill my baby
Thoughts welcomed.

You shouldn't have any issues. I have a similar Cervinis hood with a CAI and haven't had any issues at all.

When I was working with my college's Formula SAE team, we had to take the car out to test in the snow once in a while because, well, it snowed a lot and we needed to test things. The car had an open filter element directly behind the front wheel. It was a slushy day and we drove the car for hours until suddenly it wouldn't run anymore. Eventually we figured out that the filter was covered in a blob of frozen slush.
I think the small amount of water that's going to get through that opening won't be an issue. There are many people here with aggressively vented hoods and I've never seen a report of water issues.
