Default Oil psi--4.0 vs. 4.6

Okay. I'm not all that knowledgeable about the workings of an engine. Could someone please explain why the Ford 2007 Mustang Workshop Manual states a minimum engine oil pressure for the 4.0 engine as 15 psi @ 2000 rpm at normal operating temperature, and the 4.6 engine as 75 psi under the same conditions? That seems like an awfully big difference. Thanks.

75 seems high for operating temp but it's probably because of the VCT...just a guess though

VCT requires higher oil pressures to function properly.
Whats the oil pressure for a 2011 V6 with VCTii?
