My question is I know the cars are different and I don't think it will work but it doesn't hurt to ask.. Will a short shifter off of a 99-04 mustang cobra work on my 05? I know it probably won't work but I'm just asking to clerify no dumb comments please

It's a totally different kind of shifter all together. Ours is a remote type shifter, as opposed to ones that mount directly on top of the tranny like the earlier models did.
