Also tends to pop a stock 4.0 which is expected but there is ways to keep them together stock with the right tuning lol.

But Chris blew up trying to qualify for Pinks last year - Vortech plus a 75 shot was too much.

So far no one has been able to successfully run dual power adders on the 4.0. Everyone who has done so has eventually blown it up. Boost + nitrous does not play well together. It will run --- for awhile. Rygen even tried it with a built 4.0 and it didn't last.

You're the first fast x-charger to post in here. What's your setup?

Jim, I knew he ran a 12 flat or so with the nitrous and 12psi but didn't know it popped the motor lol.

I have the Xtreme kit, 2.6" pulley which lets me run 10 - 12 lbs of boost even with the intercooler. I also have a Shaftmasters 4" aluminum driveshaft, J&M HotPart LCA's and adjustable UCA, FRPP shocks and struts and the FRPP rear springs (stock height springs up front), GT take off dual exhaust with X pipe, and when I ran my personal best last year I was running a set of M&H Racemaster cheater bias ply tires on the back, 26 - 10.5 x 15 size on a set of 15 x 8 Jegs Sport Stars. (I have the front skinnies now on 15 x 4 Jegs Sport Stars, and changed the rear tires to a set of Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radials)

Car was running quick enough that I had to add a 6 point roll cage this year (with a convertible the limit is 13.49 in the quarter before a cage is required - was told at Ubly Dragway in October last year "you can finish out today, but don't bother coming back next year without the cage").

And I love my Xcharger Xtreme, but the new 5.0 is a great set up and quick right off the showroom floor. My next Mustang will probably be a 5.0 coupe.

Automatic - and on the stock convertor. I forgot to add the rear end upgrade! I have the 8.8" with 3.55's and the LPW girdle as well.

The worst modding decision I ever made was to try and build the 7.5. Bent the pinion on it with a set of Richmond 3.73's, and had the LPW girdle for the 7.5 on that and a tlok. Bent it before I put nitrous on the car even and two years before the Xcharger went on, just a set of drag radials did the Richmonds in.

I didn't put the Xcharger on until the car had 90,000 miles on it, pulled the nitrous off at that time. Dave said he was pretty sure it was the highest mileage new install. Today I have 181,600 on the car, stock bottom end and heads.

is it true that the bottom end on those sixxers can support 450whp? and that the rotating assemblies are forged from the factory?

Maybe an urban legend I heard somewhere online...
