That blower properly tuned at 4-5lbs should put down about 370-375 rwhp for 430 flywheel, and should be putting down 395-400rwhp on 7lbs. With high temps and heat soak, even with a good intercooler, if you don't have a large heat exchanger, the tune is pulling lots of timing as everyone is saying. My car felt slow on hot days when heat soaked with my Saleen tuned with 8lb pulley with cool weather 415rwhp.

On this 7lb tune, if it was Dynoed in cooler weather, it should pull around 400rwhp at least on the Dyno if it's custom tuned. Erik

Roush under rates the HP the cars put down (not like some companies that over rate them). Most using that blower put down over 400 rwhp. It's a 6 psi set up 'stock'. The Roush HX is great... same size used on their track cars.

My race tune locks the timing so heat doesnt matter. the street tune is just the opposite.
The torque is my main question at this point, that seems way off to me.

I am also questioning my clutch even though it feels fine. others have said there did too but the picked up 2 tenths when they changed it.

That's a good point. I jumped on assuming it was a blower related issue. It might be the rest of the drive train showing it's age once the power kicked in.

Have you done a compression test? If it was a dog before and not performing as expected after 3 tunes then it could be you have a couple of low cylinders.

You also said the car was dyno tuned. What was the A/F on those runs?

Lastly, how is your clutch? If it’s slipping it would make the power feel low.

Is clutch fluid old and tired? My buddies zo6 clutch started slipping and had that nasty burnt smell. Turned out his fluid was toast.

Yes, I did a leak down test on the engine, even though it only has 37k on it.
all test perfect.

WOT A/F was 11.8

I went to a ford dealer Monday and drove 3 mustangs to campare.( 2007, 2009 and a 2012 for good maesure )

I am satisfied that is was normal power when I bought the car.
I guess I had been wanting one so long that I built it up in my mind that it would be close to my 95 mustang.

Even though i was expecting too much from the car at first. I still see the E/T's dont look right compared to others of similar setups. and now that I have put all my money in this one basket I need it to figure it out.

Lastly, the clutch doen't seem to be slipping, but it does feel very soft to me, but then again I am used to a race clutch in the 95.

So the problem boils down to this.
I want my 2006 to run like my 95, so I can get rid of that ugly sn95
and love my beutiful s197

Send the datalogs to JDM or VMP and ask them what they can do. For the cost of a tune you can have it dialed in. Its worth a phone call.
